Stadhampton lies on the busy A329 linking Thame with Wallingford and the B480 linking Oxford with Watlington.
Although the village is on a busy road, it has retained much of its character and charm with many old cottages. The area has several interesting features, including a good example of a turnpike tollhouse, water mill, a well preserved dovecot and an icehouse. Stadhampton has two pub/restaurants, a village store, post office and petrol station.
Stadhampton is a popular place to live, offering a friendly rural community, good amenities plus easy access to Oxford, the M40 and A34. |
